About Our Center
|
The ATRC of WNC houses two assistive technology programs. We receive funding from Women's and Children's Health Services, Division of Public Health for our Infant and Toddler program and from the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, to provide services to all ages and all abilities. The ATRC of WNC is one of seven regional Infant and Toddler centers that offer assistive technology services for children birth to five years old. Assistive technology can provide exciting tools for children to use as they learn to do new things. The ATRC offers the following services: information and resources, equipment demonstration, training and consultation to families and programs, assistance with funding procedures, resource library, equipment loan, workshops, and technical assistance. The ATRC of WNC is also one of seven regional assistive technology centers operated by the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program. Through this funding source we provide services to persons with disabilities of all ages, their families, and service providers.
